Who is Pete?

Hi my name is Pete Blair. I live in Gainesville Virginia with my wife Lynna and four year old son Kaleb. I am "Senior Software Engineer" but I actually dislike being labeled into a position. I like doing many things related to work and technology. I like coding, design, architecture, technical management, teaching, talking about new technology, playing with technology and I could just go on until your eyes explode. I am just a geek plain and simple.

Why am I blogging?

Well because I love to talk about technology. I can not claim to be some genius that will enlighten the masses on anything really. I am smart and I am a geek, but like most people I am Standing on the shoulders of Giants. Maybe once in awhile I may have a good idea here and there, but I am not holding my breath.

What I want from You

Well all I would like from you is to talk back at me. I am always up for hearing other opinions and ideas. Like most geeks I can be pretty stubborn but I know I am not always right. Though I really wish I could be, life would be so simple then. Alas though I am human thus I will error. So if you see something wrong in what I am saying, tell me. If you know a better way to do it, say it. I am always trying to improve myself in work and in life. So bring it on, I am here for your amusement.

What is siamesehead?

Well I do not really know. There are many things I have thought about that could define siamesehead. In reality though it is a name a few of my friends came up with and they graciously allowed me to borrow the name for my blog. First of them is Charles Feduke, an extraordinarily talented coder and geek.  I have learned so much from him that I could write a book from it, he is also my sons Godfather.  The other is Chris Tanner, or as we like to call him Neckbeard. He is a very talented coder in his own right, but he is best known for his addiction to anything tech. So thanks to Charles and Chris for this great name.
